Greetings,

My name is Thomas Bruns P.E. and I am the President and CEO of Dimension, Inc.

Alright St. Louis, if you must know I went to high school at Washington High in Washington, MO (30 miles southwest of St. Louis). I attended the University of Kansas where I obtained a B.S. in Civil Engineering. You may ask what the P.E. stands for behind my name and that is Professional Engineer, which I am licensed in the State of Missouri and hold as my proudest academic achievement. Other licenses I hold include a Real Estate Broker license and numerous municipal contractors' licenses.

I have been involved with various aspects of design, construction, and real estate throughout my professional career. Prior to forming Dimension, Inc. my work experience includes the following:

• Structural Engineer for a consulting structural engineering company in Colorado engaged in the design of custom residential homes.
• Quality Control Engineer for a consulting engineering company here in St. Louis engaged in the inspection and testing of various construction materials utilized on commercial projects for project compliance.
• Environmental Consultant for a consulting engineering company here in St. Louis engaged in the environmental site assessments of commercial properties for the purpose of real estate transactions.
• Engineering Department Manager for a consulting engineering company here in St. Louis engaged in providing property condition assessments of various commercial building components for the purpose of real estate transactions.
• Construction Manager for a major property management company here in St. Louis engaged in the management of commercial office, retail, and warehouse construction projects for prospective tenants.

Although I have gained invaluable experience with my rather extensive professional career there is one job I consider to be my favorite and it is not on the above list. In between engineering jobs in Colorado I obtained the position of a residential framer building apartment complexes. Never before did I have more fun working with my hands and really seeing how all the engineering components fit together than this. This job did not require the mundane experience of staring at a computer screen all day, looking for answers in a text book, or anxiously waiting until noon so that you could leave for lunch. Rather, I was exposed to something cool everyday while learning the reality of the building industry. I got the opportunity to work outside in the sunshine and interact with lots of down to earth people all collaborating together to accomplish something for which, I was proud to be a part of. These are the characteristics I have looked for in every job since then. However, I had yet to find one that compared.

It didn't take too long to figure out that consulting and management were not for me and neither was being part of a big corporation. I therefore, decided to go back to what truly makes me happy. I started Dimension, Inc. to share my wealth of experience and unlock my hidden potential for the benefit of my clients. I no longer anxiously await lunchtime so that I can leave my desk for something more fun. Now, I am so involved and driven with my projects that I forget to take lunch.

In my 14 years in the construction industry I have acquired and perfected numerous skills that I have added to my portfolio. Because I am versed in so many skills our clients have enjoyed the benefits of this vast knowledge and especially at how we can integrate all these skills together for the benefit of their project.
